Emily practices in civil litigation, labour and employment, and utility regulation. Emily received her Juris Doctor degree from Dalhousie University in 2015, where she also completed the Environmental Law Specialization and received the Horace E. Read Legislation Prize for the highest mark in Legislation. Emily received a Bachelor of Public Relations degree with distinction from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2009.

 

Prior to starting her legal career, Emily worked in marketing and public relations in Nova Scotia and the Northwest Territories and spent several years working in Nova Scotia’s energy industry as a Manager of Regulatory Affairs. 

 

Emily’s experience working in non-profits, the private sector and the government sector gives her valuable insight into the unique needs of her clients.
